Getting Ready for Your First Visit
What to Bring
Arriving prepared helps us spend more time focused on your care and less time on paperwork. Please bring the following to your first appointment:
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Your current insurance card and group/policy number
- A list of current medications (prescription and over-the-counter)
- Any relevant medical history, including allergies
- Previous dental X-rays (if available and from another clinic)
- Your health card (Ontario OHIP card)
- A list of questions or concerns you'd like to discuss
New Patient Forms
To save time on the day of your appointment, please call us at (905) 456-3755 and we can email your intake forms in advance. Completed forms can be returned by email or brought in on the day.
What to Expect
Warm Welcome
Our front desk team will greet you, collect your forms, and answer any initial questions. We'll make sure you're comfortable before anything else.
Comprehensive Exam
Dr. Tripathi will conduct a thorough oral examination — including digital X-rays and an oral cancer screening — to understand your complete dental health.
Open Discussion
We'll walk you through our findings in plain language, discuss your goals, and answer every question before presenting any treatment options.
Personalized Treatment Plan
Together, we'll create a plan that fits your clinical needs, timeline, and budget — with no pressure and full transparency on costs.
Health & Safety: We follow all current infection control protocols recommended by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). Our clinic is thoroughly sanitized between appointments.
Insurance & Direct Billing
Direct Billing — Completely Hassle-Free
Dealing with dental insurance shouldn't be stressful. Our team handles all the administrative work — from submitting claims to following up with your insurer — so you can focus entirely on your care.
We have electronic billing set up with all major Canadian carriers. In most cases, your claim is assessed and approved within minutes of your appointment, meaning you walk out paying only your portion.
Share Your Insurance Details
Bring your insurance card and group or policy number to your appointment — or call ahead and we'll note it in your file before you arrive.
We Submit Your Claim
Our administrative team submits your claim directly to your insurer on your behalf, electronically, at the time of your appointment.
Pay Only Your Portion
You pay only any co-payment or deductible portion not covered by your plan. Most patients pay little to nothing at the chair.
Receive Confirmation
Your insurer sends an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) confirming the amounts paid. We're available to answer any questions about your coverage.
We Accept All Major Insurers
If you don't see your provider below, don't worry — we almost certainly accept it.
Don't see your insurance provider? Call (905) 456-3755 — we accept virtually all Canadian group and individual dental plans.
Canadian Dental Care Plan
We Accept CDCP
Hunt Dentistry is a registered CDCP provider. If you or a family member qualifies, you may be eligible for covered dental services with no out-of-pocket cost for essential care.
Insurance FAQs
QDo you take my insurance?
We accept virtually all major Canadian dental insurance plans. If you're unsure whether your provider is covered, call us at (905) 456-3755 and we'll confirm immediately.
QWhat is direct billing?
Direct billing means we submit your insurance claim for you and collect payment directly from your insurer. You only pay your share (co-pay or deductible) at the time of your visit — no need to pay in full and wait for reimbursement.
QWill my insurance cover the full cost?
Coverage varies by plan and procedure. Most plans cover 80–100% of basic services (exams, cleanings, X-rays) and 50–80% of major services (crowns, root canals). We can provide a pre-authorization estimate before any major work begins so there are no surprises.
QWhat if I've used up my annual maximum?
If you've reached your annual maximum, we offer flexible financing options with 0% interest. Ask our front desk team for details.
QDo you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
Yes. Hunt Dentistry is a registered CDCP provider. Eligible patients can receive covered dental services with no upfront cost. Visit our CDCP page to learn more about eligibility and what's covered.
Flexible Payment Options
We never let cost stand between you and the dental care you deserve. Our flexible financing options make world-class dentistry accessible for every Brampton family.
Monthly Payment Plans
Spread the cost of your dental treatment over manageable monthly instalments. We work with you to set a schedule that fits your budget and timeline.
0% Interest Financing
Pay zero interest on your balance when you use one of our approved deferred payment arrangements. You receive the full care you need today — without financial stress.
Insurance + Financing Combo
We direct-bill your insurance for the covered portion and offer financing on the remaining balance. This combination keeps your out-of-pocket cost as low as possible.
CDCP Coverage
Eligible patients under the Canadian Dental Care Plan receive federally subsidised dental care at no out-of-pocket cost for essential services. We are a registered CDCP provider.
Getting a Payment Plan Is Easy
There are no lengthy applications or credit bureau checks required for our in-house plans. Just an honest conversation about what works for you.
Whether you need restorative work, cosmetic treatment, or orthodontics — we will build a plan that lets you proceed with confidence. Great dentistry should not be a luxury.
Start the ConversationTell Us Your Budget
Before or after your treatment plan is presented, let our team know your monthly budget. There is no judgment — only solutions.
We Build a Plan Together
Our administrative team will map out a payment schedule that covers your treatment, maximises any insurance benefits, and keeps monthly amounts manageable.
Begin Treatment with Confidence
Once your payment arrangement is in place, you proceed with treatment knowing exactly what to expect financially — with no surprise bills.
Easy Monthly Payments
Payments are processed automatically on your chosen date each month. Our team is available to adjust your plan if your circumstances change.
Financing FAQs
QDo I need good credit to qualify for financing?
We work hard to find solutions for every patient regardless of credit history. Speak with our team confidentially about your situation and we will explore every available option.
QIs there a minimum treatment amount for financing?
Payment plans are generally available for treatment costs above $500. For smaller amounts, we can split the balance over two billing cycles at no extra cost.
QCan I use my insurance AND a payment plan?
Absolutely. We will direct-bill your insurer for the covered portion and offer a payment plan on any remaining balance. This is the most common approach for larger treatments.
QWhat treatments are eligible for financing?
All treatment types are eligible — including orthodontics, implants, veneers, crowns, and full-mouth restorations. If the treatment is at Hunt Dentistry, financing can be arranged.
