Dental Bonding
Fix chips, cracks, and gaps in a single visit — no drilling, no waiting, no compromise on aesthetics.

Dental bonding is one of the most versatile, affordable, and conservative cosmetic treatments in dentistry. Using the same composite resin material as tooth-coloured fillings, we can sculpt, shape, and colour-match material directly onto your teeth to correct a wide range of concerns — often in a single appointment with no anaesthesia required.
What Bonding Can Address
Dental bonding is used to repair chipped or cracked teeth, close small gaps between teeth, change the colour of discoloured teeth (including teeth that don't respond to whitening), make teeth look longer or more symmetrical, and protect exposed root surfaces caused by gum recession.
The Bonding Procedure
We begin by selecting a composite shade that matches your natural teeth exactly. The tooth surface is lightly conditioned to help the material bond. The resin is then applied and sculpted by hand — a process that requires considerable artistry. Once the shape is perfect, we cure it with a blue light and polish it to a natural lustre.
Bonding vs. Veneers
Bonding is faster, less expensive, and more conservative (no enamel removal needed in most cases), but it's also less durable and more prone to staining over time. Veneers offer superior longevity and stain resistance but require more preparation and cost. We'll help you choose the right option based on your goals and budget.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does bonding last?
With proper care, dental bonding lasts 5–10 years before needing touch-up or replacement. Avoid biting nails, chewing on pens, or eating hard foods with the bonded teeth.
Does bonding stain?
Composite resin is more susceptible to staining than porcelain. Limiting coffee, tea, and red wine — especially in the 48 hours after bonding — will help maintain the colour.
Is it painful?
In most cases, bonding requires no anaesthesia and is completely painless. If the bonding is being used to repair a cavity, anaesthesia will be used.
